Trump Gives The Most Savage Reality Check to Patriots Players Who Refuse to Visit the White House

Every year we watch and wait to see who is going to be playing in the Super Bowl, and every year the winning team is invited to the White House. It’s actually Tradition.

That’s right, after the Super Bowl a peculiar thing happens, the winning team gets invited to the White House to celebrate their victory. They get to hangout with and have a casual chat with the President of the United States.

This tradition started back on Aug. 30, 1865, when President Andrew Johnson welcomed the Brooklyn Atlantics and Washington Nationals amateur baseball clubs. Ulysses S. Grant played host to the first professional baseball team, the Cincinnati Red Stockings, in 1869, and has been a tradition ever since.

Sadly this year some members of the New England Patriots have already said that they have no interest in a White House visit. What a sad day we live in when people don’t see this visit as a thing to be proud of anymore.

Based off of a reporter from TMZ, who got to talk with some of the players after their Sunday win, it’s said that New England safety Duron Harmon won’t visit President Trump at the White House because he says that he is “not wanted there.”

Harmon told TMZ:

“Nah, man they don’t want me in the White House.”

We aren’t sure what gives him the feelings of not being wanted there, but we sure do wish he would explain it further. Harmon went on to say that he’d “love to meet Trump’s predecessor” Barack Obama.

He went on to even say:

“That would be dope. Hey, Obama, come holler at me, man. We love you over here.”

Harmon wasn’t the only one to say he would not be attending, Devin McCourty, and his twin brother Jason McCourty also told the ‘Associated Press’ that they are not interested in making the trip to the White House to chat with President Trump. A reporter from the Associated Press stated that:

“A day after the Patriots beat the Los Angeles Rams for their sixth NFL title, Devin McCourty said flatly that he would not join the team for a White House visit,”

Jason had a little bit different reaction to the question regarding the visit. “I haven’t thought about it, but I highly doubt it.”

Devin then made jokes with his brother and got him to admit:

“there was virtually zero chance he would go.”

This isn’t the first time that there has been controversy surrounding the winning Super Bowl team, and their trip to the White House. Back in 2017 Patriots won the Super Bowl, and were actually disinvited to come. It was theoretically “cancelled”, but we all know what happened.

Surrounding all the NFL players kneeling during the National Anthem, or just flat our refusing to come out of the locker room during it, did not do the team any favors with President Trump. It didn’t sit well with other Americans, or Military personnel either. Talk about disrespecting those who fought and still fight for your freedom.

Trump took to Twitter to explain his stance on the subject saying:

The Philadelphia Eagles Football Team was invited to the White House. Unfortunately, only a small number of players decided to come, and we canceled the event.

Then he got SAVAGE:

“Staying in the Locker Room for the playing of our National Anthem is as disrespectful to our country as kneeling. Sorry!”

Trump also said in a statement regarding the situation and said:

“They disagree with their president because he insists that they proudly stand for the National Anthem, hand on heart, in honor of the great men and women of our military and the people of our country,”

We stand with you Mr. President, and we stand for all those who have served and still serve today. God Bless America!
