Hockey season is right around the corner, and that’s incredibly exciting.
Playing their home games in Nashville, the Predators are never short on finding talented singers to perform the Star Spangled Banner.
From Carrie Underwood (whose husband, Mike Fisher, plays for the team), to Dierks Bentley, it seems that every country star has performed on the ice inside Bridgestone Arena.
One of those singers happens to be the award winning country vocalist Trisha Yearwood. Prior to the Preds’ 2017 Western Conference Finals game, Trisha took center stage in font of a raucous crowd, and sang one of the most beautiful renditions of the Star Spangled Banner.
No matter how many times I hear it, it still makes the whiskers on my face stand up. There’s something special about a song that can cause people to swell up with pride over how awesome this country is.
God bless America.
