Kanye West has raised a lot of eyebrows after tweeting support for President Trump this week, and, as expected, the left has come out in droves against him.
After posting a picture of a signed MAGA hat, several celebrities (and a lot of has-beens) immediately started calling the music icon “mentally ill,” and a host of other insults, in attempt to shame him to think the way they do.
Unlike some artists who have given into the mod, Kanye has continued to be a proud supporter of Donald Trump, even though the two “don’t agree on everything.”
President Trump responded to Kanye’s support, tweeting out a “thank you” to the hip-hop legend. However, he didn’t stop there. While the looney liberals continued to belittle West, Trump thanked him again in a way nobody saw coming:
“Kanye West has performed a great service to the Black Community – Big things are happening and eyes are being opened for the first time in Decades – Legacy Stuff!”
Kanye West has performed a great service to the Black Community – Big things are happening and eyes are being opened for the first time in Decades – Legacy Stuff! Thank you also to Chance and Dr. Darrell Scott, they really get it (lowest Black & Hispanic unemployment in history).

Since facts matter, let’s remind the rest of the country that unemployment among black people is at an all-time low. Somehow, that gets lost among those on the left, but it is the truth.
During his tweet-storm, Kanye included images of text messages he received from John Legend, in which the R&B singer begged West to stop supporting the president.
“Hey, it’s JL. I hope you’ll reconsider aligning yourself with Trump. You’re way too powerful and influential to endorse who he is and what he stands for. As you know, what you say really means something to your fans. They are loyal to you and respect your opinion. So many people who love you feel so betrayed right now because they know the harm that Trump’s policies cause, especially to people of color. Don’t let this be part of your legacy. You’re the greatest artist of our generation.”
Let’s break this down for a minute.
First, Legend tries to evoke an emotional response from Kanye by saying he needs to think about his fans. He says that Ye’ needs to stop supporting Trump because it’s upsetting to his fans. Basically, Legend wants Kanye to agree with his followers, instead of having his followers see things from his perspective.
Second, Legend says that Trump’s policies are harmful, “especially to people of color.” Does he give any examples of those policies? Of course not, because those policies would have to exist. Instead, he brings up late-night talk show host talking points and leaves it at that. The least he could’ve done is list ONE policy that’s harmful.
Finally, John Legend tries to shame Kanye by saying that supporting the president is tarnishing his legacy. While this tactic seems to work on less mentally strong individuals, it doesn’t appear to have any influence over West’s decisions.
Legend has not been the only one to voice concerns about Kanye. Snoop Dogg posted a picture of Kanye wearing a MAGA hat with the caption “that’s mighty white of you Kanye.” Now, mind you, it’s okay to say something like that because in the mind of the left, being racist towards white people isn’t a thing.
Kanye did receive some support from his colleague Chance the Rapper, but that was walked back after the fellow Chicago rapper was called out by the left for daring to think differently.
Once again, those on the left have exposed just how “tolerant” they are of people who disagree with them. Nevermind that unemployment is at the lowest point for black people because that’s not what CNN and the like care to report on. Instead, they choose to fill their networks talking about scandals from over a decade ago, and “Russian collusion” that has yet to be supported by facts.
This also demonstrates just how fragile liberals are. While most sane people can have an opinion without needing a celebrity endorsement, the left seemingly NEEDS their pop-stars to agree with them on everything.
Maybe they just like ignoring the fact that the previous president did little to nothing for the black community, aside from existing. Maybe they are upset that Kanye pointed that fact out, and now they have to acknowledge the shortcomings of their left-wing savior, Obama. Or maybe they have just been brainwashed into hating anyone who doesn’t join their #resist movement.
Whatever the case is, good for Kanye for taking a stance, and not allowing others to guilt him into changing his opinion. Hopefully, this will pave the way for other famous conservatives to come out of hiding, and support the idea of making America great.
