Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Announce Arrival Of Royal Baby Boy

Now come on you guys and gals, who doesn’t love a good baby story. I mean, nothing better than a tiny little person looking up at you knowing that you are their world. I imagine the same joy is being felt all around the Royal Family as Prince Harry and his wife Meghan welcomed their first born, a baby boy into the world.

Their weighing 7 pounds, 3 ounces boy was born early Monday morning. The Duke of Sussex and Duchess of Sussex, who were married last May, and the new arrival is now seventh in line for the British throne, behind his father. The Daily Mail reported that the baby currently holds the title of the Earl of Dumbarton. Additional titles including a possible “HRH” or, “His Royal Highness” could be bestowed by Queen Elizabeth at a later date. Talk about one lucky kid.

A separate statement from the royal family revealed that several key family members, including the Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William and Duchess Catherine were all “delighted” by news of the young royal’s arrival.

Prince Harry made an appearance on TV Monday morning to discuss the birth, he told reporters that his newborn son “is absolutely to-die-for.” They have not given him a name just yet, but the parents are working hard on coming up with one, and they’ve had extra time to think about it, he joked to reporters, because the baby was a “little bit overdue.”

Prince Harry said the birth was: “the most amazing experience I could ever have possibly imagined. Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. It’s been amazing, so we just wanted to share this with everybody. How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension, but we’re both absolutely thrilled and so grateful to all the love and support from everybody out there.”

For little baby of Harry and Meghan, the Earl of Dumbarton, isn’t likely to ascend to the British throne, seeing as he is seventh in line, but the life of an Earl isn’t so bad we can assume as much. He will likely be known by his first name or the surname, “Sussex.” He probably won’t be given the title of “Prince” until Harry’s father, ascends to the throne, if he is even given that title at all. But he sure can’t complain about it just yet.

The royal family did confirmed that Princess Diana’s siblings, sisters Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Earl Spencer were informed before announcing the birth to the general public.

Harry has stayed close to his mother’s siblings, and even asked his aunt, Lady Jane Fellowes, to give a reading at the their May 2018 royal wedding.

After announcing their engagement in 2017, Markle noted in a televised interview just how important it was for her to get to know Princess Diana’s siblings as well as her good friend, Julia Samuels.

“I think in being able to meet his aunts and also like Julia and just different people who were so important to his mum, I’m able to, in some way, know a part of her through them and of course through him. It’s incredibly special.”

Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess, we can’t wait to hear what they name this little guy!
