Minnesota Teacher Put On Leave After A Disturbing “Kill Kavanaugh” Tweet Goes Viral
Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh was recently sworn in by President Trump and some people have taken their anger to the extreme. A Minnesota special education teacher has been put on administrative leave after posting a chilling tweet saying someone should “kill Kavanaugh”.
According to The Hill, “The instructor at Intermediate School District 917’s Alliance Education Center in Rosemount sent the tweet on Saturday, shortly after Kavanaugh was sworn in, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported.”
The tweet, which has no been removed from Twitter, said the following.
“So whose [sic] gonna take one for the team and kill Kavanaugh?”
Superintendent for the district, Mark Zuzek, confirmed that the employee was placed on paid leave “pending the outcome of the investigation.”
“Pursuant with the data practices act, we are limited to providing additional information regarding this matter,” Zuzek’s said in a statement.
The tweet was reported to the FBI and the U.S. Secret Service and the Dakota Country sheriff said they were aware of the situation.
“Our Office is aware of an incident involving alleged social media use by an employee of a school withinDakota County. Neither the City of Rosemount Police Department nor our Office are currently investigating any incidents we believe to have happened at the school.”
So far an investigation has not been opened.
