Donald Trump Jr. Tweets Out The Name Of Suspected Whistleblower

The president’s son, Don Jr., definitely isn’t afraid of causing a stir.

His willingness to call out the media is one of the qualities that makes him endearing to voters, and he has no intention of stopping. Especially with his father being the target of so many attacks.

Now, he’s catching flack for naming the potential “whistleblower” behind the entire situation involving Ukraine. You know, the thing that happened a few months ago… After a three year long investigation didn’t lead to any kind of impeachment process.

No, it was a phone call to Ukraine that the left is using to take down the administration. A phone call.

Trump Jr. is hardly the first to mention Eric Ciaramella’s name, but he is the most prominent.

This is from AFP, via Yahoo! News:

Andrew Bakaj, the whistleblower’s lawyer, would not confirm or deny the reported name, but said Trump Jr. and others were endangering the person as well as the system built to protect whistleblowers.

“Identifying any name for the whistleblower will simply place that individual and their family at risk,” he told AFP.

“It won’t, however, relieve the president of the need to address the substantive allegations, all of which have been substantially proven to be true.”

Now, I’m no expert, but a whistleblower is typically a person who has firsthand knowledge of an event… Not some guy who heard from a guy who heard from another… But, what do I know? (very little)

This comes from Washington Examiner:

Attorneys for the whistleblower who submitted a complaint about President Trump’s July 25 call with Ukraine’s president, prompting the impeachment process to begin, declined to confirm or deny that their client was Eric Ciaramella, a career CIA officer.

RealClearInvestigations reported Wednesday that Ciaramella was the whistleblower. The Washington Examiner has established, however, that there was one significant inaccuracy in the report: Ciaramella does currently work at the CIA. The report was written by Paul Sperry, a partisan pro-Trump figure who had released Ciaramella’s identity via Twitter earlier this month and whom critics accuse of trading in disinformation and conspiracy theories.

All the attorneys had to do was say “no, that’s not the right guy”. But, they didn’t.

Just to give you an idea as to who this Eric Ciaramella guy is, here’s what the Examiner said:

Ciaramella was Ukraine director on the NSC during the end of the Obama administration and remained there during the early months of the Trump administration, when he was briefly acting senior director for European and Russian affairs before the arrival of Fiona Hill. Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, the current Ukraine director on the NSC, testified in a secret hearing held by the House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday.

Huh, is it possible that the whistleblower is an Obama holdover? According to Donald Trump Jr., yes. Yes it is.
