Border Patrol Agent Roasts CNN When She Tries To Bait Him With “Child Refugee” Question
CNN host Brooke Baldwin just did a segment with National Border Patrol Council spokesman Chris Cabrera and it was clear from the beginning that she was trying to set them up as horrible and inhumane people.
Baldwin was looking for a reason to shame them but Cabrera was 2 steps ahead and it seemed like he was fully prepared for it.
Daily wire reports that;
“Baldwin started the segment by playing alleged audio of border patrol agents joking about the children in their custody. Cabrera suggested the agents, who see incredibly tragic situations on a daily basis, might have been making light of the rough situation, but noted that he had not heard the audio before the interview.”
He then responded immediately to the accusation.
“I don’t think everybody understands what’s happening down here. You know, a lot of these kids that are coming here, and put through terrible, terrible, situations by their parents; they are brought over in extremely dangerous conditions, in extremely dangerous terrain, and all this can be avoided if they just go through the port of entry. There would be no crime committed by them and they wouldn’t get separated. Why they don’t do this is beyond me,” explained Cabrera, adding, “As we all know, when you get arrested, you don’t get to stay with your family.”
Baldwin them probed even further and tried to make it look like they abuse the kids.
“America is outraged,” said Baldwin. “Can you assure everyone watching that you and your border patrol colleagues are treating these children humanely?”
Clearly trying to bait him, Cabrera replied.
“I can tell you with absolute certainty they’re being treated humanely,” he replied. “Most of our agents are parents. I’ve seen guys, and I’ve done it myself, you give your last bottle of water to a kid, you’ll take a toy out of your car to give to one of these kids because you know the situation they’re in. Agents are very sympathetic. We’re human, we’re fathers, we have families. We do a lot for the communities here, whether or not a camera is involved. Our agents are very involved. And nobody saves more lives along the southwestern border than the U.S. Border patrol.”
That’s right. Nobody saves more lives on the border than the Border Patrol. Nice try, CNN.
Watch the exchange below. I encourage you to take a few seconds and watch the whole thing. This is important.
