If The Negativity Of Life Has Got You Down, This Song Is Guaranteed To Make It All Go Away
The world is in an upheaval.
Everywhere you look, there’s negativity, and hate. It appears that if you are of Christian faith, people feel that they have free reign to ridicule you and make fun of you, in the most open and tolerant society mind you.
But what if things didn’t have to be that way? What if you knew something that exempted you from the pressure? What if you knew something that insulated you from the negativity? What if you had a place to go to shut the world out, and that you wouldn’t come back out until peace and faith were settled in your heart again?
Would you believe that there is such a place you can go, and that it’s open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week? It’s called, Praise and worship.
The Bible tells us in Psalm 100:4,
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”
And 1 Peter 5:6-8 tells us,
“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”
When we get our minds off our problems and our minds on our source, then everything will change and everything will get better.
In the Old Testament, King Jehosephat, when faced with a much larger army sent the worshippers out in front of the army!
We find this in 2 Chronicles 20:21,
“After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: “Give thanks to the LORD, for his love endures forever.”
The action was so effective that the enemy army became confused and slaughtered each other!
Jesus told us not to worry for a reason. You can’t worry and be in Faith at the same time. Those are two forces from two vastly different kingdoms. When we operate in worry and fear, we actually prevent God from being able to do anything about our situation at all.
But when we operate in Faith, then all the possibilities in the universe become open to us. God doesn’t respond to need to or worry. He only responds to Faith.
Hebrews 11:6 says,
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
When we praise God, He gives us the victory.
