Lee Greenwood Delivers A Powerful “God Bless The USA” And Brings The Nation To Its Feet

Following the attacks on 9/11, Lee Greenwood performed a powerful rendition of “God Bless The USA” at Yankee Stadium. This takes us back to a time where everyone stood for “The National Anthem” and the hearts of all Americans were one.

We are still one people in this beautiful country, but somewhere along the way we have become more and more divided. Let this be the thing that helps us remember how united we can be, despite our differences.

Greenwood released “God Bless the USA” in 1984 and since this it has become the song sang at so many sporting events across the nation.

This will go down as one of the most patriotic performances in American history. Here are the moments that set it apart.

Greenwood wore an American flag jacket!

The American flag was held across the field by our Military!

People held signs showing how proud they are to be in America.

Watch the performance that will bring you to tears.
