Earlier this week Florida congresswoman Frederica Wilson accused the president of being “insensitive” during a phone call with the widow of a fallen soldier.
During her tirade against Trump, Wilson went so far as to say that the president “has a brain disorder” for daring to say the things he allegedly said.
Now, another Gold Star family is coming to the president’s aid, offering a video of the call they had with the president.
(video may take a second to load)
Natasha De Alencar’s husband Army Staff Sgt. Mark R. De Alencar lost his life in Afghanistan earlier this year. In wake of the accusations against the president, Natasha felt as though releasing this video would be appropriate.
“I am so sorry to hear about the whole situation,” the president said. “What a horrible thing, except that he’s an unbelievable hero.”
During the call, Trump goes on and on about how heroic Natasha’s husband was, and tells her that anytime she is in D.C. she is welcome to see him in the White House.
While the liberal media would like you to think that Trump merely reads from some script, this call gives us a glimpse into just how much the president cares about the troops, and their families.
When Natasha mentions her children, and says that her son is a football player at the University of Missouri, Trump begins to pepper her with more questions about her family.
“How good of a football player is your son at Missouri? He’s got to be pretty good, that’s a good team, right?”
The White House has already denied the claims of congresswoman Wilson, but the fact that another family would come to the aid of the president speaks volumes.
Democrats (and even many republicans) are willing to fabricate stories to make the president look bad, but the American people aren’t falling for it. There are too many tools at our disposal to sift through their BS, and find the truth for ourselves.
Thankfully we have people like Natasha who are willing to show us that the left are just making things up.
