Yesterday the media claimed that President Trump called some countries like Haiti “sh*thole countries”. As of this morning Trump hit back and said that this whole thing was made up. So who do we believe?
The mainstream media says one thing, and Trump always calls them “fake news”. This time he was right more than ever. And this time it’s backed up with facts from someone who was there, Tom Cotton.
Trump first sent a Tweet refuting the claims.
But Tom Cotton, who was in the room, just released a statement that will shut them all up. Cotton’s joint statement with Senator David Perdue said:
President Trump brought everyone to the table this week and listened to both sides. But regrettably, it seems that not everyone is committed to negotiating in good faith,” they said. “In regards to Senator Durbin’s accusation, we do not recall the President saying these comments specifically but what he did call out was the imbalance in our current immigration system, which does not protect American workers and our national interest. We, along with the President, are committed to solving an issue many in Congress have failed to deliver on for decades.
Looks like the media lied again, and I bet they just keep getting away with it. Sad times.
